Dr. Baker has served as a member of the Vivani Medical Board since the company’s merger was completed in August 2022. Dr. Baker also serves as a member of the Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee and Chair of the Audit and Compensation Committees. Prior to the merger, Dr. Baker had served as a member of the Second Sight Medical Products Board and the Nano Precision Medical Board. Dr. Baker served on the board of directors of Advanced Bionics prior to its sale to Boston Scientific, was the founding director of the Alfred E. Mann Institute for Biomedical Engineering at USC, and served for 9 years on the board of directors (including serving on compensation, audit, and governance committees) for Semtech, a publicly traded semiconductor company. He currently serves on the board of directors for Transonic Imaging, a medical imaging startup.

Dr. Baker was also a vice president of Northrop Grumman for 16 years, overseeing a division with $1 billion in annual sales. Dr. Baker continues to advise Vivani Medical in intellectual property, compensation, capitalization, and operation issues.
